This is a non-exclusive agreement between Amani Publishing, LLC (herein referred to as publisher), P.O. Box 12045, Tallahassee, Florida, 32317, and­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­________________________________________________, (herein referred to as author), for publishing services for a book to be titled:

Author shall:

1) Submit an original typed (and edited) Microsoft Word document via e-mail;

2) Submit a one-page biography with or without picture;

3) Approve the “proof copy” within (10) days of receipt;

4) Market your book after publication;

5) Keep all profits from direct sales of book(s); and

6) Pay digital catalog fee each year (for title to remain active)

Amani Publishing will:

1) Read and format the text for a (6 x 9), (8.5 x 5.5), or (8 x 5) paperback book;

2) Convert text document to PDF format;

3) Design and create a PDF cover file;

4) Submit cover and text files to the printer;

5) Pay for setting-up printer files and digital catalog fee (for one year only);

6) Provide International Standard Book Number (ISBN);

7) Register title with BowkerLINK database for Books In Print;

8) Provide Library of Congress Control Number (LCCN);

9) Mail one book to the Library of Congress w/priority shipping;

10) Provide (1) proof copy of book;

11) Deliver FREE books (30) days after proof approval;

12) Submit copyright registration in author’s name;

13) List your title with two major book distributors: Ingram and Baker & Taylor Books;

14) List your title with at least two on-line bookstores: Amazon.com and Barnesandnoble.com;

15) Add your title to Amani Publishing’s website and social networking sites;

16) Provide author w/electronic copy of files & format for Kindle (eBooks) on Amazon (optional);

17) Remit royalties (based on 10% of the cover price) from on-line and retail bookstores to author at least once a year; remit royalties based on Kindle eBook price; and

18) Attempt to contact author when digital catalog fee (DCF) is due each year.

Additional books (minimum ten) may be ordered at 50% off the cover price plus tax (FREE shipping). Any changes/

corrections made to the “proof copy” will cost $50.00 for cover or text plus $50.00 if additional proof is ordered. All fees are due when the contract is signed and submitted to publisher.
