Barbara Joe-Williams is a long-term resident of Tallahassee, Florida. However, she was
born and raised in Rosston, Arkansas, where she graduated from Oak Grove High School. She spent four years in the U.S. Navy
prior to attending college. She holds an A.A. degree in Office Education from Tallahassee Community College. She has a B.S.
degree in Business Education and a M.Ed. in Counseling Education from Florida A&M University. She is currently a freelance
writer, a motivational speaker, an independent publisher (Amani Publishing, LLC), and an active member of the Tallahassee
Writer's Association. Barbara spends her spare time traveling and conducting seminars on writing, publishing,
and marketing. When she's not publishing books for other aspiring authors, she's working on projects for herself.
And her latest project is a non-fictional book titled,
Moving the Furniture: 52 Ways to Keep Your Marriage Fresh (February
2009). She's been published in two anthologies,
How I Met My Sweetheart (2007) and
Memories of Mother
(2007); She has one non-fictional title:
A Writer's Guide to Self-Publishing & Marketing (2007). In addition,
Barbara has authored the following fictional books:
Courtney's Collage with Sherille Fisher (2007);
Falling
for Lies (2006);
Dancing with Temptation (2005); and
Forgive Us This Day (2004). Recently, Barbara
signed with a reputable agent. However, she's still looking forward to writing and publishing more books under Amani
Publishing, LLC.
Barbara recently co-founded the "Local Authors Network" in Tallahassee as a means to
bring all local and aspiring authors together. Our mission is to provide a supportive environment where new and
