AUTHOR’S CONTRACT.07
This is a non-exclusive agreement between Amani Publishing, LLC (herein referred to as publisher), P.O. Box 12045, Tallahassee, Florida, 32317, and________________________________________________, (herein referred to as author), for publishing services for a book to be titled:

Author shall:
1) Submit an original typed (and edited) Microsoft Word document via e-mail;
2) Submit a one-page biography with a headshot;
3) Keep all copyrights to manuscript and all profits from individual sales of book(s);
4) Approve the “proof copy” within ten (10) business days; and
5) Market and promote your book after publication.
Amani Publishing will:
1) Read and format the text for a (6 x 9), (8.5 x 5.5), or (8 x 5) paperback book;
2) Convert text document to PDF format;
3) Design and create a PDF cover file;
4) Submit cover and text files to the printer;
5) Pay for setting-up printer files and digital catalog fee for one year only;
6) Provide copyright registration in author’s name;
7) Provide International Standard Book Number – ISBN;
8) Register title with Books in Print;
9) Provide library control number and mail one book to the Library of Congress;
10) Provide one (1) proof copy of book within thirty (30) days after final payment;
11) Deliver FREE books within thirty (30) days after proof copy is approved;
12) List your title with two major book distributors: Ingram and Baker & Taylor;
13) List your title (with an image of book cover) with at least two major on-line bookstores:
Amazon.com and Barnesandnoble.com;
14) Add your title to Amani Publishing’s website and submit an official press release;
15) Remit royalties (based on 10% of the cover price) from on-line and retail bookstore sales to
Author by the end of the year;
Package A (050 - 100 pages) $1,000.00 includes 10 FREE books
Package B (101 - 150 pages) $1,500.00 includes 50 FREE books
Package C (151 - 200 pages) $2,000.00 includes 100 FREE books
Package D (201 - 250 pages) $2,500.00 includes 150 FREE books
Package E (251 - 300 pages) $3,000.00 includes 200 FREE books
Package F (301 - 350 pages) $3,500.00 includes 250 FREE books
Additional copies of book (minimum ten) may be ordered at 50% off the cover price (includes tax and shipping). Any changes/corrections made to the “proof copy” will cost $80.00 for cover or text plus $50.00 if additional proof is ordered. Author agrees to pay publisher 1/2 the fees when the contract is signed and the remaining 1/2 within (30) days. Prices are subject to change without notice and payments are non-refundable.
